Air Show at Bucks… Fire near Meadow Valley

There is a fire in Deanes Valley just outside of Meadow Valley about 3 miles to the east towards the Middle Fork area.  It was spotted this morning 7/29/17  at 9am and was at five acres then.  Heavy air resources and ground resources are on it.  We have scooper aircraft using Bucks Lake  to refill.  They start  lowering to lake level at Bucks Creek and skim across the lake picking up a load of water, then to the fire and drop the water , then return for another load.  Currently they are 2 in a flight working just behind each other.   Here’s a picture (more to follow)  this aircraft scoops 1,621 gallons in 12 seconds   WOW

BUCKS LAKE AREA   IS CURRENTLY     SAFE     BUT LETS BE VIGILANT

Summer is Here

Temperatures in the 100 plus, dry grasses, fuels for a fire on the ground…..  Let’s all be careful out there.

Meadow Valley Fire, Bucks Lake Fire, and USFS responded to a fire on Big Creek Road at the bottom in Meadow Valley this week,  We were able to contain the fire at 1.5 acres.  This was due to the quick response by the volunteer’s.

If you see smoke or anything suspicious please call 911 and report it to help get the emergency services rolling.  This is not the time of year to be complacent…

Thanks for your help.
