It looks like a tree is blocking the signal…….

Did you know?

The camera is wireless and sends a picture to the router in the station, then to the bridge on the outside of station, then shoots the picture up to Haskin’s store, to the bridge on the B&B, then into their router, then over to their hughesnet satellite internet, then it is sent to “outer-space” and after “it” bounces off the satellite “it” returns back to earth, then it enters the World Wide Web, goes to “Flickr”, then back to this site and awaits you clicking on it to show you just how much snow is at Bucks Lake….

(about 4 feet as of this a.m 1/18/17) 3-5 more feet  due by Sunday 1/22/17

Here is a typical  picture from this week..  Enjoy!

WINTER RESCUE TEAM TRAINING

With the help of Meadow Valley Fire, Bucks Lake Fire, the Groomer Operators and the Snowdrifters Snowmobile club we trained together to learn how to respond in an emergency situation.  The participants reviewed first aid  for the injured person and took this opportunity to ride inside the rescue sled and understand how and what the patient experiences when they are transported to medical aid.

We discussed the dangers of hypothermia and other field related winter dangers.

All in all this was a great training opportunity to learn and plan to be a positive assistant in the event of an emergency.

Thanks to all who were involved.

Have fun in the snow and stay safe.
