Arson Fires all around Bucks Lake and Plumas County

Well the Sheriff’s Office has announced the capture of an individual who is charged with several counts of arson.  This is a relief to us as we have been working hard to monitor, step up and provide support to our mutual aid partner Meadow Valley as they go on mutual aid calls to provide structure protection in and about Quincy.

We have been very busy with the call volume of this year at Bucks Lake, and to add an arsonist into the mix just exacerbates the problems.  Several of these fires were on Big Creek Road just below our area.

I for one am glad the Sheriff’s Office/Forest Service has a handle on the problem.
